Scott is President of SoDel Concepts, which owns 12 coastal restaurants. SoDel Concepts has won a myriad of awards in recent years including the Marvin S. Gilman Superstar in Business Award, presented by the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce. Among the SoDel restaurants are Bluecoast Seafood Grill, named one of the top-10 destination restaurants in America by Attache Magazine, and Matt’s Fish Camp, which was recently awarded “Best Seafood Restaurant” by Delaware Today Magazine. Scott was also named Business Man of the Year in 2015 and 2016 by Coastal Style Magazine.
Over the last 20 years, Scott Kammerer has established himself as a premier developer of restaurant companies and concepts on the East Coast. Scott is a founding partner of Highwater Management and HaleyKammerer Restaurant Consulting, a co-founder of Matt's Homemade Sodas, a line of craft sodas distributed throughout Delaware, a co-founder of SoDel Salts, a line of chef inspired flavored sea salt, and Executive Producer of SoDel Films.
Scott is also the founder of SoDel Cares, a charity that raises funds for causes that benefit children, at-risk youth, adults reentering society from the prison system and the elderly who need assistance. Beneficiaries include the Rehoboth Beach Boys & Girls Club, The Freeman Stage at Bayside, The Harry K. Foundation and Pathways to Success. In 2016 SoDel Cares was voted best local Charity by readers of Coastal Style Magazine.
Scott has also been chosen as the keynote speaker at many local and regioinal events including the Southern Delaware Tourism Award Luncheon, The Sussex County Today and Tomorrow Concference, The fourth annual DTCC Social Media Conference, and the Kent County Economic Summit. He is a frequent business column contributer for Gannett, and is a regular guest on local and regional radio. Scott is also a board member of the Delaware Restaurant Assocaition, the Delaware Sports Commission, and the Commission on Early Education and the Economy.
In 2016 SoDel Concepts was named a Top Workplace in Delaware, and received the Inspiring Business Award from the Bethany-Fenwick Chamber of Commerce. In 2016 Scott personally was named the Best Business Leader in Delaware from the Delaware News Journal, and received the Delaware Restauant Association's Conerstone Award for lifetime achievement.
Scott lives in Rehoboth with his wife Lisa and their sons Griffin, Holden and Carson, who he actively coaches in youth sports. Scott is also a former All American wrestler.
