Nelia was born in New York City and raised in Pompton Lakes, NJ. She graduated from Rutgers College with a degree in Economics.

After College she moved to Rehoboth Beach, where she had spent many summers with her family, and waited tables at Arena’s Deli, to her parent’s total dismay. During her time at Arena’s she moonlighted at many Rehoboth restaurants as Arena’s was a place that drew in many local restauranteurs who became close friends over the years.

In 2000 Nelia opened Stoney Lonen with her husband John Rishko, which they owned and operated for 7 years. In 2007 they sold Stoney Lonen as their family and the demands that go along with it grew.

Nelia began her work with SoDel Concepts as Marketing Director in September of 2014, where she oversees all advertising, press releases, staff promotional appearances on radio and television, and edits SoDel content. She is delighted to be back working in the business without having to suffer the many demands of working in a restaurant.

Nelia lives in Rehoboth Beach with her husband, John Rishko, and their four children.
