LISA KAMMERER, DESIGN TEAM | lisak@sodelconcepts.com

Lisa was born and raised in Sussex County, attending Sussex Central High School before continuing to graduate from Lock Haven University as an All-American field hockey player with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education.

Lisa started working in the restaurant industry at the age of 15 at the Seahorse in Rehoboth Beach. Working in restaurants gave her the flexibility to work while still taking care of her children and family at home. Once the kids were in school, Lisa used her degree and began working in the education field. When Matt passed, Lisa needed to be at home full time with her family.

As their children grew up, Scott encouraged Lisa to take a more active role in the company. She always had an eye for architecture and décor and after working with Carey designing their new home, they quickly evolved into the SoDel Design team. Their love for art and design, great working relationship and openness to new ideas is reflected in the beauty of the SoDel restaurants. Lisa loves being actively involved in the company and seeing customers, friends and family having a wonderful meal in a beautiful setting.

Lisa credits her success to two strong leaders who are highly accomplished in the community and in their careers; Michelle Freeman who reminded her she was never “just” a mom and Jenny Nauman, who hired her to work at Shields Elementary School, after being turned away from two other positions.

The restaurant industry, especially SoDel Concepts, has always been an extension of family for Lisa and she enjoys the times spent with people while they are eating, sharing conversations, memorable moments and celebrating accomplishments.

Lisa is very involved in the local community and serves as a board member for the Cape Henlopen Education Foundation. She lives in Rehoboth Beach with Scott and their three sons Griffin, Holden and Carson, and their bulldogs Winston & Franklin.
